hello! i'm dau/豆, welcome to my about page! i started using the internet when i was quite young through my public library and would play on girly sites like polly pocket, bratz, and myscene as well as east asian pixel dressup doll games. eventually we got a computer, but my older sibling was quite selfish and controlling and would not let me or my younger sibling use the computer without consequences since my household was quite toxic, so i mostly used the computer at my public library or at school!

when i was in highschool, i worked so i could buy a personal laptop, by then i was mostly using micro-blogging sites like tumblr and working on my art. eventually i moved to a metropolitan area and was able to go to art school with the help of student aid. during that time i even recieved an emergency grant for a macbook that could run all the necessary design programs to help me devlop my craft.

currently i am an art teacher and freelance illustrator in western canada. i am by no means a professional coder, nor do i consider myself a "web master". but i am excited to be building this site and fill it with things that bring me joy!

i still make art, i will probably never stop making art. i love the internet, but i hate how bad it's gotten due to surveilance and greed. so i'll continue to make a nice space for myself.
